Curated by painters Andrew Churchill and Catherine Knight, Inadvertent brought together 16 painters from Bristol, London, Northern Ireland and Denmark all responding to the work of Karl Ove Knausgard and in particular his essay, Inadvertent.
We used both parts of the space and wanted to create a clean, white gallery feel. We loved the space and the lighting and were pleased with the overall footfall from passersby as well as people who had visited especially.
We had roughly 120/150 on the opening night, 30 on Saturday, 12 on Thursday, 15 on Friday, 29 on Saturday and 29 on Sunday. Overall a very positive experience. 16 painters responding to or in dialogue with the writing of Norwegian author, Karl Ove Knausgård. Curated by Andrew Churchill and Catherine Knight.
