The Launderette offers artists a space to develop your project and work, to test ideas and collaborate with others.
There is no monetary charge for use, over and above a charge for services used of £50 per week. Instead the use is based on exchange i.e. please demonstrate how you will use the space and your time, and how and what you’ll contribute to the arts and /or local community. We expect projects to host events, e.g. talks, that facilitate sharing with the arts community, other spaces, practices and projects.
There is also an option to use the space as a retreat; i.e. to have some time and the space to reflect on your practice. There are no expectations during a retreat residency, but also no opportunities to show work or have public events.
